ESSENTIALS: SKINCARE

I have been experimenting, gathering, and curating my personal list of essential tools in healing and wellness for more than thirteen years. These are the products that work for me - ones I have spent a great deal of time researching, vetting, and trying - and that bring me deep nourishment. I share these all with the intention that you may be able to discover a product or item that you love for your own nourishment.

When it comes to skincare, I have found that I can’t go fully-crunchy. I need high performance products with clean ingredients, in addition to more pure and simple ones. These are my favorites, most I’ve been using for years and continually return to, and my skin has never been better.

Agent Nateur is a line I carried at my shop Inner Light when she had the first good quality natural deoderant on the market. She uses the absolute highest quality ingredients, European standards for clean beauty, and these products PERFORM. It’s the only product line I have EVER found - apart from MONAT - that I cannot live without.

Living Libations has a cult following - and for good reason! The quality of these oils is unmatched. “Best Skin Ever” line can be used as a cleanser and moisturizer. Her sunscreen is one of the only ones I’ll wear - I mix it with some oil so it’s not too opaque.

If there’s one person in beauty you follow in Instagram, it should be Danna of Noy Skincare. She’s stunning first of all. The products she curates and uses in her spa are incredible - all very clean and high vibrational. She’s an expert in gua sha and makes the most beautiful stone:

I discovered Cosmedix through Noy Skincare, and it’s clean science-forward brand. I love their eye cream and mist, which is essentially a high performing witch hazel toner:

It’s worth the hype, period. I’ve tried living without it, but I always come back to it, despite the price tag. Vitners Daughter is the best oil on the market hands down. If you can afford the Essence too, it’s divine.

This moisturizer is one of those purchases where I bought it at a spa and I had sticker shock, but it’s turned out to be worth it. High quality performance skincare from Tuscan label Seed to Skin.

For cleansing, usually I use the Living Libations Sea Buckthorn Oil or Agent Natuer’s Acid Wash. But sometimes I want something softer, and I use Naturopathica’s Manuka Honey Balm - usually leaving it on for a while as a mask too. It’s so calming and gentle.

LINNE is another line I carried at my shop, Inner Light. Incredibly high quality botanical ingredients formulated by an herbalist, I continually come back to using their clay-based cleanser when I want something exfoliating and the Renew serum - which always sold out at my shop! Women would come in just for the Renew Serum.

Again, a product I carried and loved at Inner Light, Wildcare’s hydrosols are truly a small batch hand crafted skincare essential. Founder grows her own plants and distills everything by hand. I use them as a hydrating mist in between cleansing and moisturizing.

Pratima Skincare is a brand I’ve used and loved over the years. The product I come back to again and again is the sunscreen - it’s not greasy or opaque, very light, and subtly fragrant. I love it.
